John is a highly experienced and passionate Optometrists with over 40 years of experience with glasses, contact lenses, eye care and eye health.
John graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Optometry in 1969. Following the completion of 2 years national service, he worked at Parramatta for 3 years before joining and then buying a practice in Hornsby where he still attends part time.
About 20 years ago he had the opportunity to purchase his practice in Northmead and has enjoyed servicing this close knit community ever since.
John spends a lot of time each year learning about the latest technology in eye care. He has recently acquired a retinal camera for the practice.
John enjoys playing squash and cricket. His lovely wife Ronda also works in the practice. John has two grown children and two grandchildren who are the love of his life.
John is a member of the Optometrists Association of Australia and the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Each year, John spends voluntary time involved with charity and community health services. He has worked as an Optometrists in the Paralympics, has done charity work in Tonga and is part of the Hepatitis B Free doctors group who set up clinics in remote areas of Papua New Guinea.
John speaks fluent Italian.
Aileen is passionate about continuing education and the latest research in eye health and eye wear. She is currently undertaking her Masters in Optometry at the University of New South Wales. She has also worked as a nationally known leading Optometrists for a global company in which she led clinical governance discussions and trained new Optometrists.
Her areas of interest include contact lenses, children's vision and ensuring your eyes do not have signs and symptoms of high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, macular degeneration and glaucoma.
Aileen enjoys working with children of all ages. She believes all children should have their vision checked from 4 years of age (or sooner if you notice any problems such as frequent eye rubbing, red eyes, headaches and close working distance when reading a book). She has two boys aged 8 and 4.
Aileen is not only extremely practiced and passionate about eyes, but is also very enthusiastic about fashion. She is more than happy to give her opinion and advice in regards to your choice of frame.
Aileen is a member of the Optometrists Association of Australia, Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA), The Australian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO) and the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Ronda and John are husband and wife. They both established their first practice in Hornsby. Ronda’s focus has always been clear: to provide the best eye wear to all her customers. In fact, she doesn’t treat anyone like a customer, but rather as an extension to her close knit family.
She has two children, John and Daniella. She dearly adores her grandchildren.
Ronda started her working career as a hairdresser, which assists her when helping to select frames for her customers.
Ronda is a fully qualified optical dispenser and has been dispensing spectacles and sunglasses for over 25 years. Ronda is in charge of our practice's own lab, meaning that many problems can be solved in store rather than sending away to lab's in other states.
Ronda has a broad knowledge of the newest technology in optical lenses and their suitability to each patient’s lifestyle.
Ronda ensures that her shop is stocked with the latest frames and sunglasses imported from all over the world.
Ronda speaks fluent Italian.
Daniella is our seasoned frame and sunglass stylist with a design flair for the latest fashion trends. After spending her life in fashion retail and management of fashion stores such as Cue and Kookai, Daniella decided to help her parents in the optical industry by offering her experience into the store. Daniella has been with John Granata Optometry for over 6 years. Her love and passion are to make people look and feel great in their eyewear. Her fashion tip is to, “Have fun. Be bold.”
Daniella is a friendly, happy and outgoing person that you will feel at ease with right away. She is a great listener and will ensure that your glasses and sunglasses reflect the best of your personal style. Daniella is a dog lover and owns a poodle named Lulu. She has a daughter and a son whom she devotes her life to. She loves travelling the world and especially enjoyed her experience of living in London for 2 years. She also loves interior decorating.

Lorella first started working in Optics and Optometry in 2002.
Her commitment to excellence sets her apart from other optical dispensers. She believes in the importance of customer service and strives to maintain a very high level at all times. Her experience and knowledge of optical lenses, fitting and frame adjustment's is extensive.
Lorella has an outgoing and passionate personality. She has two daughters.
Lorella speaks Italian.
Sally has over 30 years experience in the Optical industry. She is our dispensing optical mechanic. Sally has worked for both large and small organisations and is passionate about customer service on all levels.
She graduated with a Diploma of Optical Dispensing in 1983. She then did a Cert IV in Training and a Certificate in Continuous Improvement.
She has a daughter and a son. Sally enjoys playing golf and going to the gym in her free time.
